Set some goals for yourself. This way you can keep practicing and you will always be looking forward to a particular event. Personally, we recommend getting yourself a few piano books with songs you would like to take up. Whether they are popular songs or classical pieces it does not matter. You play much better when you are learning songs you enjoy. The worst possible thing for a student to do is to continually learn songs that are of no interest to them. It is a turn off.

With that said, one should learn pieces that help their knowledge of theory and musical appreciation. This tends to lead itself to music you wouldn’t normally listen too. That is ok, just be sure to balance it out with plenty of music that is your style. Do you have a repertoire at all? Having a handful of songs that you can play can raise your ego (in a good way) and keep you motivated to play.

Playing at parties is always fun. Everyone loves a good piano player and it would be your time to shine. More than likely a few people will ask you to play it again or will compliment you. This keeps you going and will enhance your yearning to improve. Also, always strive to improve. Never become stagnant in playing piano and that also applies to all walks of life. If you are serious about learning piano, we suggest you take a look at the course listed below. Good luck and keep on practicing.
